The first voice you hear

Every visit begins here. Our coordinators answer day and night: listening first, assessing quietly, and bringing the exact standard of OCS care directly to your door.

From Your Call to the Knock on Your Door

One conversation, and the visit is arranged. The fee is confirmed before anyone sets out.

The Call

Day or night, a coordinator answers. Tell them what is happening, in your own words.

If it is life-threatening, the coordinator directs you to SAMU 114 immediately.

The Details

They take the patient’s name, the address with a landmark, and the symptoms.

The Doctor

A doctor is sent to you from one of our four dispatch points, which between them cover all five regions of the island.

The Journey

The doctor sets out to you. The usual estimated arrival time is 30–45 minutes; your coordinator confirms the expected timing when arranging your visit.

The Knock

Your coordinator stays reachable the whole way, until the doctor is standing at your door.

Questions our care coordinators hear

Practical answers from the OCS care coordination team.

What do people usually ask when booking a home visit?

The most common questions are about consultation fees, how soon a doctor can arrive, and whether the patient’s symptoms can be assessed and treated at home.

We receive calls from individuals, parents arranging care for their children, tourists, and adult children booking a doctor for an elderly parent. Some need a visit as soon as possible; others prefer to arrange an appointment for later.

What information should I have ready when I call?

To help our care coordinator arrange your visit, please provide:

  • The patient’s age and gender.
  • Their symptoms and the reason for requesting a doctor.
  • The patient’s location.
  • A contact name and telephone number.
  • Your relationship to the patient, if you are booking on their behalf.

How soon can a doctor arrive, and can I book ahead?

OCS Médecins provides home visit doctor services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our care coordinator prioritises requests according to urgency and usually assigns the nearest available doctor.

The usual estimated arrival time is 30–45 minutes. This is an estimate rather than a guaranteed arrival time; your care coordinator will confirm the expected timing when arranging your visit.

You can also request an appointment for a preferred time. Our coordinator will help arrange and confirm your booking.

Are mental health counselling and specialist consultations available 24/7?

Mental health counselling and specialist consultations require an appointment and are not available around the clock. Contact our care coordinator to discuss your needs and arrange an available appointment.
